Job Title: Registered Social Worker

Hunter Mental Health is seeking a highly skilled Registered Social Worker to join their team in Richmond. This is a fantastic opportunity to work with a dedicated team of professionals who are passionate about delivering high-quality services to vulnerable children and young people.

Job Summary:

We are looking for a Registered Social Worker with significant experience of managing service delivery for vulnerable children and young people. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in youth justice, children's social care, and safeguarding. They will be able to manage high levels of risk, including safeguarding and public protection, and have experience of managing case workers who deliver social work with adolescents and their parents/families with contextual safeguarding issues.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage service delivery for vulnerable children and young people, including those with contextual safeguarding issues.
  • Develop and implement effective risk management strategies to ensure the safety and well-being of service users.
  • Manage a team of case workers who deliver social work with adolescents and their parents/families.
  • Provide supervision and support to case workers to ensure they are equipped to manage complex cases.
  • Collaborate with other professionals, including police, education, and health services, to ensure a comprehensive approach to service delivery.
  • Contribute to the development of policies and procedures to ensure the organization is compliant with relevant legislation and regulations.
Requirements:
  • 2 years post AYSE experience as a Registered Social Worker.
  • Significant experience of managing service delivery for vulnerable children and young people.
  • Strong background in youth justice, children's social care, and safeguarding.
  • Ability to manage high levels of risk, including safeguarding and public protection.
  • Experience of managing case workers who deliver social work with adolescents and their parents/families with contextual safeguarding issues.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with a range of stakeholders.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a flexible approach to working hours.
