Mechanical Maintenance Technician

At Speedy Hire Plc, we are seeking a skilled Mechanical Maintenance Technician to join our team. As a Field Service Engineer for Generators and Compressors, you will be responsible for the planned service maintenance and repair of compressors and generators ranging from 20 - 1400 kva.
Job SummaryWe offer a competitive salary of £55,000 per annum, plus overtime paid at time and a half. You will have use of a Speedy Hire van and fuel card. Our comprehensive benefits package includes 26 days holiday, career progression, training programmes, life assurance, pension scheme, canteen facilities, and discounts across the Speedy brand.
Key Responsibilities- Travel to customer sites and carry out planned service maintenance and repair of compressors and generators
- Fault-finding, replacing parts, effecting repairs, and diagnosing mechanical failures
- Service, fault-find, and carry out breakdown repairs
- Full driving licence
- Experience in fault-finding, replacing parts, effecting repairs, and diagnosing mechanical failures
- Good computer skills, including Microsoft Office
- Able to work alone under pressure and as part of a team
