Job Description:
We are seeking an experienced Data Migration Manager to lead our 12-month project to migrate data from a legacy case management system to a new system. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing a detailed plan for the extraction, transformation, and loading (ETL) of data from the old system to the new case management system.
Key Responsibilities:
- Data Migration Planning: Develop a comprehensive plan for the data migration process, including data mapping, data quality assessment, and test data preparation.
- Data Quality Management: Ensure that the data being migrated is accurate, complete, and consistent with the new system's requirements.
- Collaboration with Other Teams: Work closely with IT, business analysts, and test teams to ensure that data migration aligns with the new system's requirements.
- Risk Management: Identify potential risks in the data migration process and develop mitigation strategies to minimize disruption to business operations.
- Execution of Data Migration: Oversee the actual migration process, ensuring minimal disruption to business operations.
- Post-Migration Validation: Conduct post-migration audits and checks to ensure that all data has been correctly transferred and is functioning as expected in the new system.
Requirements:
- Experience: 5+ years of experience in data migration, data transformation, and data integration.
- Skills: Strong knowledge of data migration planning, data mapping, data quality assessment, and test data preparation.
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
