Job Overview

Mastek is seeking a highly skilled Data Migration Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our data migration team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth transition of data from one system to another.

Key Responsibilities
  • Data Migration and Integration
    • Design, develop, and implement data migration plans to ensure seamless data transfer.
    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and design solutions.
  • ETL/ELT Process Development
    • Develop, implement, and optimize ETL/ELT processes using ODI, OBIEE, Workato, and PL/SQL.
  • Data Engineering and Orchestration
    • Design and build data solutions on Azure, leveraging Databricks, Data Factory, and other Azure services.
  • Technical Documentation and Troubleshooting
    • Create and manage technical documentation, including data models, process flows, and solution designs.
    • Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to data integration, storage, and processing.
Requirements
  • Technical Skills
    • ODI, OBIEE: Advanced knowledge and hands-on experience.
    • Oracle SQL, PL/SQL: Proficiency in writing complex queries and scripts.
    • ETL/ELT concepts: Strong understanding and practical implementation experience.
    • Azure Technologies:
      • Databricks, Data Factory: Expertise in data engineering and orchestration.
      • DevOps, Storage Explorer, Data Studio: Competence in deployment, storage management, and development tools.
    • Python, PySpark: Advanced coding skills, including real-time data streaming through Autoloader.
  • Business Acumen
    • Strong understanding of SDLC lifecycle and agile methodologies.
    • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
    • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
    • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Preferred Qualifications
  • AWS Services: Knowledge of AWS Postgres RDS, Athena, DMS, DynamoDB, Lambda, Kinesis streams, S3, and IAM roles.
  • Additional Technologies: Familiarity with Groovy, Typescript, Power BI, and the Hydr8 framework is a plus.
