Job Title: Head Barista

Join WatchHouse, a specialty coffee company with multiple locations across London, Bath, and New York, as a Head Barista. We are building our next generation of Best in Class specialty Head Baristas.

About the Role:

As a Head Barista, you will play a critical role in ensuring the excellent quality of the drinks we serve. You will be accountable for the standard of drinks served in your shop, even when you are not there. You will coach and manage your team of Baristas, educate and excite the team, maintain the equipment and machines, provide unparalleled hospitality to build our customer base, and cultivate and positively foster the WatchHouse culture.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage the personal development of your team, including 1-2-1 catch-ups, inspiring and engaging coffee-related meetings or trainings, and actively managing PDPs.
  • Attend Head Barista meetings with the Senior Coffee Team and arrange a monthly coffee catch-up with the Coffee Operations Manager.
  • Ensure the quality of all coffee and drinks, manage bar stocks, train and develop the bar team, and meet with the House Manager to discuss bar staff scheduling, drinks sales, and speed of service opportunities.
