Electrical Supervisor Job Description

Madisons Recruitment is seeking a skilled Electrical Supervisor to join their team on a permanent basis. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing electrical maintenance and installation projects across the UK, with the head office based in Slough, Berkshire.

This role would suit a time-served Electrician looking to move into a supervisory position, or an Electrical Working Foreman seeking to work for a main contractor.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Support the M&E/design team during the tendering process.
  • Attend client meetings as required.
  • Conduct electrical maintenance surveys on existing MSCP.
  • Produce reports and costs for electrical maintenance works.
  • Carry out maintenance works as needed.
  • Test and maintain emergency lighting systems.
  • Perform periodic testing and inspections.
  • Develop and issue RAMS for maintenance works.
  • Supervise maintenance and EOD work on site.
  • Conduct site audits and sign-offs for electrical installation works on new build projects.
  • Attend site meetings with M&E contractors as required.
  • Monitor M&E progress on site and report to the site management team.
  • Prepare and issue M&E snagging reports.
Requirements:
  • Time-served electrical qualifications.
  • NVQ Level or City & Guilds equivalent.
  • Knowledge of 7671 – 18th Edition and City & Guilds 2391 – Inspection & Testing.
  • 5 years of industrial M&E contracting experience.
  • 2 years of industrial M&E supervision experience.
  • Contract program knowledge and time frame planning skills.
  • Positive attitude, self-motivation, and ability to challenge management constructively.
  • Flexibility and willingness to learn.
  • Ability to travel as required.
