Job Summary

The Clinical Support Specialist provides direct and indirect client care activities under the supervision of a Physician, Nurse Practitioner, a Registered Nurse (RN), or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN). This role conducts medication reconciliations, collects/verifies information regarding allergies, tobacco, and alcohol use, and documents interactions with clients. The ideal candidate will also conduct prescription pre-authorizations and aid providers and nursing staff members as needed.

Responsibilities
  • Conducts medication reconciliations and collects/verifies information regarding allergies, tobacco, and alcohol use.
  • Demonstrates excellent communication skills and maintains accurate records.
  • Assists in conducting prescription pre-authorizations and aiding providers and nursing staff members.
Requirements
  • A combination of psychiatric work experience or relevant education, and training, which indicates the possession of knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to perform essential job duties required.
  • Graduation from high school and certification from an accredited clinical medical assistant program (or 1 year of relevant experience).
  • Certified Clinical Medical Assistant (CCMA) certification preferred.
  • Current Basic Cardiac Life Support Certificate or eligibility to be obtained.
  • Must possess a valid Driver's License, good driving record and the ability to provide own transportation.
Compensation

We offer a competitive hourly salary of $38,172, plus benefits including enrollment in Virginia Retirement System.
