Thirsk, North Yorkshire, United Kingdom HC-One Full time
About The Role

In your capacity as a Care Assistant, you'll prioritize kindness above all, which will impact every aspect of our care. Every single person who works here understands that our residents are individuals with their own stories to tell.

By joining HC-One, you'll have a unique opportunity to make a positive difference in the lives of others. Our focus is on delivering exceptional service at all times.

As a Care Assistant, you will be responsible for ensuring the physical and emotional wellbeing and social needs of our residents are met. This includes assisting with personal care activities such as washing, personal hygiene, dressing, and supporting with meals.

We strive to deliver a level of care that comes from the heart, focusing on maintaining our residents' dignity and individuality. You'll get involved in various general activities within the care home, including helping residents with limited mobility learn to use aids, providing emotional support to those who may be confused or distressed, or delivering end-of-life care while prioritizing their wellbeing above everything else.

Safeguarding is everyone's responsibility, so it's crucial that you can recognize signs indicating possible abuse, harm, or neglect and know what to do if concerns arise. All colleagues are required to attend safeguarding training relevant to their role and participate in additional training in associated areas. If needed, you can seek guidance and report concerns, including escalating issues if necessary.

Estimated salary: £24,000 - £28,000 per annum depending on location and experience.
