Job Summary:

Be Caring is seeking an experienced and dedicated individual to fill the role of Team Manager in our Learning Disabilities department. As a Team Manager, you will be responsible for providing leadership and support to our staff teams, ensuring the delivery of high-quality services to our clients.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Contribute to the selection and induction of new staff, taking into consideration the needs and preferences of our clients.
  • Induct, mentor, and support new staff into their roles, ensuring they have the necessary skills and knowledge to provide excellent care.
  • Lead and motivate staff, promoting a positive and supportive team culture.
  • Contribute to and develop staff teams, including regular team meetings, supervisions, and appraisals.
  • Address areas of poor performance, working closely with the Service Manager to implement corrective actions.
  • Provide information as directed by senior management and attend meetings as requested.

Client Support:

  • Support staff in monitoring the mental, emotional, and physical wellbeing of our clients, ensuring prompt action is taken when necessary.
  • Ensure client-centered plans, risk assessments, and behavior support plans are in place and regularly reviewed.
  • Ensure every client has a person-centered plan and health file, which is reviewed regularly.
  • Embed safeguarding procedures in all staff, ensuring the protection and safety of our clients.
  • Work in partnership with clients, families, and other professionals to enhance their health and lifestyle.
  • Report and record incidents and accidents, passing information to senior management.
  • Ensure the human rights of our clients are respected.
  • Where appropriate, ensure Mental Capacity Assessments are carried out.

Quality and Compliance:

  • Ensure all records are up-to-date and in line with company policies and procedures.
  • Ensure compliance with CCG, local authority, and other contracts, as well as CQC regulations.
  • Investigate complaints and report to senior management in a timely manner.
  • Support senior managers in making the best use of resources and working flexibly and creatively.
  • Attend meetings with families, friends, and other professionals as required.
  • Assist in the office with administrative duties when needed.
  • Ensure staff contracted hours are accurate, and timesheets are checked and submitted on time.
  • Resolve conflicts that may arise.

Training and Development:

  • Demonstrate a commitment to personal development and ongoing learning.
  • Attend and participate in the health and social care worker training program, both in-house and external, to achieve the specified level of competency.
  • Prepare for, attend, and participate in regular supervision and appraisal meetings with the management team.

Other Duties:

Support and Development:
