About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Clinical Trials Nurse to join our team in E1 and E14 (2024). As a Research Nurse, you will play a key role in providing cost-effective nursing support and duties for optimal study delivery from clinical start-up to close out.

Main Responsibilities

  • Maintain and promote the safety and wellbeing of all subjects participating in a clinical trial within regulatory frameworks.
  • Assist senior team members with daily management and workload allocation within the clinical environment.
  • Prepare, plan, and execute daily clinical activities.
  • Provide guidance and mentoring to staff in the clinical environment, ensuring competence in performing tasks.
  • Supervise new ancillary staff as required, promoting adherence to Company SOPs and Health and Safety Regulations.
  • Support Clinical Support Specialists in performing clinical assessments and nurse-specific procedures.
  • Perform informed consent procedures, complete study-related documents, and adhere to protocols.
  • Maintain subject safety, responding to emergencies as per internal SOP and national guidelines.
  • Identify areas for service improvement and promote high standards of practice and care.

Requirements

  • Knowledge of GCP and experience in a clinical trials setting desirable.
  • Competence in recording medical history, vital signs, ECG, phlebotomy, etc.
  • Ability to manage adverse events or clinical incidents.
  • Nursing qualification essential, NMC registration also required.
  • Completed Immunisation and Vaccination (DPC Healthcare providers), Certificate in basic or intermediate life support essential.
  • Sound clinical knowledge, good patient communication skills, and ability to work independently.

Estimated Salary: £55,000 - £65,000 per annum, depending on experience and qualifications.
