Opportunity Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled Manufacturing Process Optimizer to join our team at Omega Resource Group. The ideal candidate will have a sound engineering background with relevant qualifications and experience.

The successful candidate will be responsible for optimizing manufacturing processes to drive production efficiencies. The role involves collaborating with cross-functional teams to support project engineering and manufacturing processes.

The estimated salary for this role is £50,000 - £65,000 per annum, depending on experience.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Optimize manufacturing processes to drive production efficiencies
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support project engineering and manufacturing processes
  • Investigate root causes of failures and implement corrective actions
  • Create and control manufacturing instructions and implement engineering changes to production
  • Manage engineering for New Product Introductions (NPI)
  • Liaise with customers to understand requirements and specifications
  • Translate customer information into internal documentation
  • Drive production efficiencies through Kaizen events and LEAN methodologies

Requirements:

  • Sound engineering background with relevant qualifications and experience
  • Degree Qualified or recognised apprenticeship
  • Proven experience in the engineering field
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to build rapport with internal and external customers
  • Positive 'can do' attitude
  • An understanding of configuration control and product structure
  • Knowledge of design software such as Autodesk Autocad, Solidworks, Fusion, Vault, and Inventor
  • Ability to convey technical issues to less technical colleagues
  • Problem-solving skills and attention to detail
