About the Role

We are seeking a highly experienced Data Engineering Automation Lead to join our team at Aviva. As a key member of our Solutions Team, you will be responsible for delivering wider capability across the organization.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead a team of 4 engineers to deliver automation solutions using cloud technologies, such as AWS, EMR-FS, S3, SQS, and Lambda.
  • Develop and implement CI/CD pipelines using modern DevOps platforms like ADO.
  • Design and integrate data-driven solutions using Python and APIs.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration and automation.
  • Provide technical leadership and guidance to the team, ensuring they have the necessary skills and expertise to deliver high-quality solutions.
Requirements
  • Proven experience in data engineering, automation, and cloud technologies.
  • Strong leadership and management skills, with experience in managing a team of engineers.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work with cross-functional teams.
  • Proficiency in programming languages, such as Python, and experience with APIs and data-driven solutions.
  • Awareness of cloud OLAP platforms and experience with SQL.
