Role Overview

We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Special Education Needs Teaching Assistant to join our team at Academics. This is a long-term opportunity that could potentially become permanent for the right candidate.

Job Summary

The successful applicant will work closely with students who have a range of disabilities and learning difficulties, helping them reach their full potential. They will provide one-to-one support, assist with lessons, and develop individual education plans to ensure students' needs are met.

Key Responsibilities
  • Work individually with students, supporting their learning and development.
  • Provide additional support in classrooms, ensuring all students have access to the curriculum.
  • Collaborate with teachers to create and implement IEPs for students with special education needs.
  • Work with other staff members to ensure students' needs are met and they feel part of the school community.
  • Liaise with parents and carers to keep them updated on students' progress.
Requirements
  • A Level 2 or 3 Teaching Assistant qualification or equivalent.
  • Experience working with students who have special education needs.
  • Knowledge of various special education needs, including autism, dyslexia, and ADHD.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to build relationships with students, parents, and colleagues.
  • Ability to work as part of a team and use initiative to support students.
Estimated Salary: £83-£100 per day
