About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Senior Registered Nurse to join our multi-disciplinary team, providing high-quality specialist palliative and end-of-life care to patients and their families within our in-patient facilities.

Main Responsibilities
  • Lead the clinical team in the safe, effective, and responsive delivery of patient care within the hospice unit.
  • Work alongside the Ward Sister to develop, implement, and evaluate holistic patient care.
  • Communicate effectively with the multi-disciplinary team to ensure seamless care within the hospice and other healthcare settings.
  • Identify and mitigate Health and Safety risks and incidents within the clinical area.
  • Ensure compliance with CQC reporting requirements and engage the team in key lines of enquiry.
  • Support staff development and growth through regular appraisals and meetings.
  • Implement and work within the Charity's HR policies on staffing matters.
  • Participate in the delivery of training programs for the clinical team.
Requirements
  • 1st Level Registered Nurse qualification.
  • Palliative care study or course.
  • Advanced communication training.
  • Excellent verbal and written skills.
  • Confident clinical decision-making and risk assessment.
  • Ability to communicate with staff and motivate them to achieve outcomes.
  • High level of understanding of IT skills and Microsoft programs.
