About the Role
As a Shiplift Rigger - Operations Specialist at Babcock International Group, you will play a critical role in ensuring the safe and efficient operation of our Shiplift systems and equipment. Your expertise will be essential in maintaining the integrity of our heavy equipment and ensuring compliance with all relevant safety protocols.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct regular inspections and maintenance activities to ensure the Shiplift systems and equipment are in good working order.
- Develop and implement procedures for the safe operation and maintenance of Shiplift systems and equipment.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and address any issues or concerns related to Shiplift operations.
- Provide training and guidance to colleagues on Shiplift operations and maintenance procedures.
- Ensure all work is carried out in accordance with Babcock International Group's safety policies and procedures.
Requirements
- Recognized Rigging Apprenticeship or equivalent is essential.
- Experience in inspection and changing of wire ropes.
- Knowledge of Crane maintenance.
- Slinging and Fleeting experience.
- Ability to work at heights and in confined spaces.
