The role
As a Shiplift Rigger you’ll have a role that’s out of the ordinary. You will join out Babcock team to undertake rigging activities and conduct operations on Shiplift systems and equipment.
Day-to-day, you’ll ensure completion of all planned preventative maintenance to ensure the department meets the objectives of the business.
This position involves working at height. Candidates must be able to work safely and perform tasks at varying heights.
This role is full time, 36 hours per week and is based on site at Faslane.
Essential experience of the Shiplift Rigger
Experience of inspection and changing of wire ropes Knowledge of Crane maintenance Slinging and Fleeting experience Experience in handling maintenance documentationQualifications for the Shiplift Rigger
Recognised Rigging Apprenticeship or equivalent is essentialSecurity Clearance
The successful candidate must be able to achieve and maintain Security Check (SC) security clearance for this role.
