**Job Overview**

We are seeking an exceptional Learning Support Assistant to join our team at Academics Ltd, providing specialist support to students with a range of learning needs.

The successful candidate will have a strong passion for supporting neurodiverse children and young people, with a desire to continue their journey to become a speech and language therapist. A psychology degree or specialist SEN training is highly desirable.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Supporting the educational journey of secondary-aged pupils with EHCPs.
  2. Assisting in implementing effective communication techniques in small class sizes.
  3. Working closely with therapists, including SALTs, Occupational therapists, psychologists, and counsellors.
  4. Providing extensive 1-1 support for every pupil.
  5. Focusing on preparation for GCSE subjects and building a curriculum tailored to individual needs.

Requirements:

  • Possess a psychology degree or specialist SEN training.
  • Have a strong understanding of communication methods, such as Makaton and PECS.
  • Demonstrate enthusiasm for working with neurodiverse students.
