Opportunity Overview

We are recruiting for a Systemic Family Therapist or Clinical/Counselling Psychologist to join our innovative CAMHS Eating Disorder Service in North East London NHS Foundation Trust.

Job Summary

The ideal candidate will have experience in working with children and young people with eating disorders and their families. The post holder will work alongside colleagues within the MDT to provide NICE concordant psychological interventions to the young people and families with Eating Disorders and comorbid presentations.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Work effectively within a multi-disciplinary context.
  • Deliver NICE concordant psychological interventions to the young people and families with Eating Disorders and comorbid presentations.
  • Have experience in assessing and treating service users across the full range of care settings.

Our team has pioneered the integration of Emotion Focused Family Therapy (EFFT) for Eating Disorders within the UK. This involves integration into family therapy sessions and a two-day caregiver workshop. As a member of the CAMHS ED team, you would have access to specialist supervision in family-based treatment and EFFT.
