We are looking for a talented and motivated individual to join our team as an Electrical Distribution Apprentice. In this role, you will have the opportunity to gain hands-on experience in street lighting installation, maintenance, and cable jointing.

The successful candidate will spend most of their time out on site, learning about all technical aspects of Lighting & Grid. They will also attend block release training programs to gain formal qualifications, including courses to provide trade skills such as plant operation and live electrical connections to the underground power distribution network.

As an Electrical Distribution Apprentice, you will be responsible for assisting experienced professionals and mentors to develop a comprehensive understanding of the power engineering industry. You will work in site-based environments, including public highways and construction sites, and must be comfortable with working at heights and in confined spaces.

To succeed in this role, you will need a minimum of 5 GCSEs grades A-C / 9-4 (or equivalent) including Maths, English Language, and Science. You should also have a real interest in engineering, shown by your relevant work placements, studies, hobbies, or projects.
