About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and organized Facilities Maintenance Assistant to join our team in Huddersfield, UK. As a key member of our Facilities department, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our site.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support and supervise reactive and planned maintenance activities within the Facilities department and site IT systems.
  • Coordinate with contracted teams to ensure high standards are maintained during maintenance activities.
  • Act as the main point of contact for planned and reactive maintenance activities, ensuring accurate documentation in our filing system.
  • Audit works to ensure compliance with company standards.
  • Communicate effectively with contracted teams throughout their work, notifying them of any changes within the Cummins environment.
  • Assist with project work as requested by the Facilities manager and participate in larger-scale project works across the Huddersfield site.

Requirements

  • Currently studying towards a degree in a construction, mechanical, or electrical discipline.
  • Proficient in Microsoft packages, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • IOSH or equivalent HSE qualifications are an advantage.
  • Strong communication skills are essential.
