Facilities Maintenance Assistant

About the Role
We are seeking a highly motivated and organized Facilities Placement Student to join our team in Huddersfield, UK. As a key member of our Facilities department, you will play a vital role in supporting the maintenance and upkeep of our site.
Key Responsibilities
- Support and supervise reactive and planned maintenance activities within the Facilities department and site IT systems.
- Collaborate with contracted teams to ensure high standards are maintained during maintenance activities.
- Act as the main point of contact for planned and reactive maintenance activities, ensuring accurate documentation in our filing system.
- Audit works to ensure compliance with company standards.
- Communicate effectively with contracted teams throughout their work, notifying them of any changes within the Cummins environment.
- Participate in project work as requested by the Facilities manager and contribute to larger-scale project works across the Huddersfield site.
Requirements
- Currently studying towards a degree in a construction, mechanical, or electrical discipline.
- Proficient in Microsoft packages, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- IOSH or equivalent HSE qualifications are an advantage.
- Strong communication skills are essential.
