Dog Trainer Assistant Job Description:

The ideal candidate for this role will have a strong passion for animal care and be able to work independently with minimal supervision. As a Dog Trainer Assistant, you will be responsible for supporting our experienced trainers in providing high-quality care for our dogs.

You will be working in a fast-paced environment and must be able to multitask, prioritize tasks, and maintain accuracy and attention to detail. Your excellent communication and interpersonal skills will enable you to build strong relationships with our trainers, veterinarians, and other staff members.

We are looking for someone who is physically fit, has good stamina, and can work effectively in a team environment. If you are a reliable, organized, and caring individual who is eager to learn and grow, we encourage you to apply for this exciting opportunity.

Responsibilities:

  • Support trainers with dog handling and behavioral training
  • Prepare and clean equipment, facilities, and living areas
  • Monitor animal behavior and provide observations to trainers and veterinarians
  • Participate in regular team meetings to discuss progress and goals

Qualifications:

  • 18 years or older
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; experience in animal care or a related field preferred
  • Ability to lift 50 pounds and stand for long periods
  • Valid driver's license (if applicable)

Salary and Benefits:

  • $12.50 hourly
  • Free training for your dog
  • Flexible schedule with occasional weekends and evenings
