Job Title: Security Director
Job Summary:
Momentum Security Recruitment is seeking an experienced Security Director to lead the strategic and operational in-house security function at a high-profile location. As a key member of the management team, you will be responsible for managing the delivery of operational and strategic security in a corporate environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage the operational delivery of site security, ensuring the safety and security of personnel, assets, and facilities.
- Lead on the strategic planning of the security function, developing and implementing security strategies to mitigate risks and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Oversee the creation and implementation of Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and assignment instructions to ensure effective security operations.
- Conduct and monitor staff appraisals, providing coaching and development opportunities to enhance the skills and performance of security personnel.
- Develop and implement staff training programs, including regular emergency preparedness training to ensure security personnel are equipped to respond to critical incidents.
- Liaise with law enforcement agencies and emergency services to ensure effective communication and collaboration.
- Manage incident response and crisis management, ensuring a swift and effective response to security incidents.
- Oversee the delivery of control room services, ensuring the effective monitoring and response to security incidents.
- Cross-functional working with the Property and Facilities teams to ensure seamless integration of security services.
Requirements:
- Proven experience in managing the delivery of operational and strategic security in a corporate environment.
- Strong leadership and management skills, with the ability to motivate and develop security personnel.
- Experience in developing and implementing security strategies, including crisis management and emergency planning.
- Ability to work effectively with senior stakeholders, including law enforcement agencies and emergency services.
- Professional membership of relevant security organizations, such as the Security Institute, is desirable.
