About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced individual to join our English and Mathematics (ENMA) Department, primarily based at our Wakefield Centre. This role offers a unique opportunity to lead the GCSE English and Mathematics (resit) curriculum independently, fostering confidence and skills across various levels.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and manage English language and Mathematics resit programme and students at the centre
  • Ensure compliance with all elements of the Study Programme and condition of funding requirements
  • Implement the College quality management system
  • Plan, prepare, and teach agreed contact hours to a high standard
  • Support the development of resources and improvements within the department
  • Manage student expectations through disciplinary procedures
  • Contribute to cross-college events and marketing activities
Requirements
  • Educated to degree level or above in a relevant subject
  • Teaching qualification (Level 5 teaching qualifications accepted)
  • Strong knowledge and experience in GCSE English and Maths and preferably entry-level qualifications
  • Passion for fostering student success and engagement
