About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional to join our team as a Workforce Transformation Project Manager. This is an exciting opportunity to work in a dynamic and fast-paced environment, driving transformation and improvement in healthcare workforce development.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide expert leadership and guidance to the workforce transformation team, ensuring effective project management and delivery.
  • Develop and implement strategic plans to improve workforce development, aligning with national and local priorities.
  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders, including universities, employers, and professional groups, to ensure effective consultation and involvement processes.
  • Communicate and manage stakeholders using project and programme management methodologies, ensuring transparency and effective communication.
  • Establish and foster effective working relationships with key stakeholders across the West Yorkshire Integrated Care System, informing and supporting the implementation of workforce development and transformation workstreams.
  • Utilize influencing and persuasion skills to establish the basis for successful delivery of workstreams.
  • Work in partnership with others to ensure all actions have been taken to deliver projects/programmes on time.
  • Analyze available resources for workforce development, ensuring that any proposals for change take full account of the resources available.
  • Provide in-depth analysis of data, national policies, and legislation to produce education and workforce development plans and reports, including financial analysis where appropriate.
  • Monitor performance against national and local targets relating to the NHS Long Term workforce plan, identifying areas for further development/improvement.
  • Provide advice and prepare strategic reports, briefings, business cases, project documentation.
  • Lead individual workforce transformation projects, ensuring engagement of stakeholders, both internal and external.
  • Take a lead role within the agreed workstreams in writing and developing business cases (including costed options appraisals).
  • Work with internal and external colleagues to ensure that service providers have the best possible approaches to workforce transformation, including STAR and Calderdale Framework methodologies.
  • Significantly contribute to the effective management of budgets (including the approval of invoices) related to the agreed workstreams, programmes/projects, and associated contracts.
Person Specification
  • Educational achievement to Degree or relevant professional qualifications plus further development and/or experience to masters degree equivalency.
  • Significant experience at a senior management level within the NHS, local government, or other relevant organisation.
  • Experience of significant service redesign across organisational and professional/clinical boundaries.
