Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Theatre Nurse and Operating Department Practitioner to join our team at St George's Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust.

The successful candidate will be responsible for providing exceptional nursing care to patients undergoing general surgery procedures.

Main Duties

  • Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate nursing care according to individual patient needs.
  • Monitor and maintain excellent standards of nursing care in conjunction with the multidisciplinary team.
  • Supervise and mentor junior staff to ensure high-quality patient care.
  • Participate in the management of the theatre area or department on a regular basis.

Person Specification

  • Registered Nurse (general) or Operating Department Practitioner qualification.

  • Ability to effectively prioritize workload and patient care needs.
  • Computer literacy.
