HR & Payroll Specialist

Key Responsibilities
As an HR & Payroll Specialist at Axéréal, you will be responsible for ensuring compliance and provision of the payroll function for UK & Ireland. This includes maintaining accurate records to ensure timely liaison with all external stakeholders, identifying key improvements to further enhance the employee experience, and preparing all payroll data.
Payroll Processing
You will be responsible for preparing and processing the monthly payrolls, ensuring financial reconciliation, and addressing any discrepancies. This includes data entry, verifying hours worked, calculating wages, and managing one-off payments and the implementation of the annual compensation review.
Collaboration and Communication
You will collaborate with payroll vendors and internal stakeholders to resolve payroll-related issues, ensure accurate delivery of annual P11d's, and timely data shared with HMRC to reflect changes in employee status. You will also support timely data audits, contributing to User Defined Specifications required for new systems.
Employee Benefits and Administration
You will support the full administration of employee benefits, including enrolment, changes, and terminations. You will serve as a point of contact for employee inquiries regarding benefits and assist with annual open enrolment processes. You will also maintain accurate and up-to-date employee records and documentation, including personnel files, payroll records, and benefit information.
Compliance and Governance
You will ensure compliance with company policies and procedures, assist in the onboarding and offboarding process, including paperwork completion, orientation, and training coordination. You will also support offboarding activities such as exit interviews and processing termination paperwork.
Requirements
- Experienced or qualified in Payroll / Business Management, relevant to UK and IRE payroll (CPP desirable)
- Full payroll administration experience - including legislation and tax regulations, posting monthly payroll journals
- Human resources administration experience desirable but not essential
- Managing relationships with benefit provider and other third parties
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills to support managing information across teams
- Attention to detail and accuracy driven
- Experience with ADP and Kronos preferred
- Proficient in Excel / Microsoft Office
- Fluently in English, any other language is a plus
