About the Role

We are seeking a dynamic FMCG Buyer to join our team at The Range's Head Office in Plymouth.

This is an outstanding opportunity to manage our customer offer and work closely with the Head of Buying to enhance The Range's product range.

You will be responsible for developing relationships with new and existing suppliers, ensuring maximum value and efficiency for the business.

Key Responsibilities
  • Maximize sales, margin, and profitability in the fast-moving and diverse FMCG category.
  • Lead a team to build long-term supplier relationships and deliver a successful product offer.
  • Implement the product strategy and ensure the business meets customer needs.
  • Monitor and review competitor information to stay relevant in a changing market.
  • Play a lead role in range reviews, supplier negotiations, promotions, and pricing.
  • Work with the cross-functional team to ensure great product availability and quality.
Essential Skills and Requirements
  • Experience in buying and FMCG.
  • Excellent understanding of the consumer and the marketplace.
  • Ability to work in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
  • First-rate strategic and analytical thinking skills.
