Job Title: SEMH Learning Support Assistant

Leader Education is recruiting a SEMH Learning Support Assistant to work at a co-education secondary school provision for children with Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support students with complex needs in a therapeutic environment
  • Assist in lessons and activities to promote learning and development
  • Develop positive relationships with students, staff, and parents
  • Contribute to a safe and inclusive learning environment

Requirements:

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • DBS on the update service or willingness to obtain one
  • Adaptability and commitment to meeting diverse student needs
  • Good knowledge of EHCPs
  • Ability to support students in accessing the curriculum and participating in classroom activities
