Design Teacher Opportunity in Richmond
">A vibrant secondary school in Richmond upon Thames, West London, seeks an innovative Design & Technology Teacher to join their thriving DT department on a permanent basis.
">The Role:
">- Deliver engaging and hands-on Design & Technology lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4, with potential to teach at Key Stage 5 depending on specialism and experience.
- Foster a love of design and technology in students, encouraging exploration of various materials, techniques, and technologies.
- Create a dynamic and collaborative workshop environment where students feel safe to experiment, innovate, and develop design and making skills.
- Contribute to the development and implementation of an innovative DT curriculum reflecting current trends and best practices.
- Assess and monitor student progress, providing constructive feedback and guidance to support design and technological development.
The Ideal Candidate:
">- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
- A strong understanding of the UK National Curriculum for Design & Technology.
- A proven track record of successful teaching and learning outcomes in DT.
- Excellent classroom management skills and ability to differentiate instruction to meet needs of all learners.
- A passion for Design & Technology and commitment to fostering creativity and innovation in young people.
Salary: $60,000 - $80,000 per annum, depending on experience.
