SEN Teacher Role Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate SEN teacher to join our team at a leading SEN school in Richmond. This is an excellent opportunity for a qualified teacher to make a meaningful difference in the lives of young learners with developmental needs.

Job Description:

The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering high-quality KS1 SEN education, focusing on building student confidence, curiosity, and essential skills. You will design and implement personalized lesson plans tailored to each student's developmental stage, learning style, and individual needs, promoting both academic and social growth.

You will collaborate closely with a multidisciplinary SEN team, including teaching assistants and therapists, to create a supportive and inclusive classroom environment that meets each student's goals. Your role will involve fostering a positive and encouraging atmosphere where students feel valued, respected, and empowered to reach their full potential.

You will also engage in ongoing training opportunities and professional development workshops focused on SEN best practices, enhancing your skills in personalized and inclusive education.

Requirements:

To be considered for this role, you will need:

  • Current Enhanced DBS check
