Witney, Oxfordshire, United Kingdom Abbott Laboratories Full time

Abbott Laboratories is a leading healthcare company dedicated to improving people's lives through innovative solutions.

About the Opportunity

As a result of strong business growth, our Operations Group requires experienced Support Engineers to join our team in Witney. These professionals will provide technical expertise to maintain and improve bespoke automated equipment and processes. They will work in a clean room or controlled environment, supporting manufacturing operations across our business.

About You

To succeed in this role, you should have experience in engineering within a manufacturing environment. Specifically, you should have skills in set-up of precision assemblies, machine tools operation, fault finding, and problem solving. A recognized Engineering apprenticeship or higher education qualification in a related subject is also required.

Continuous Improvement is essential to our site's culture. As a Support Engineer, you will have opportunities to propose and contribute to initiatives that enhance our operations. Effective communication with peers and other departments is crucial, as well as maintaining high-quality record-keeping in line with our stringent quality systems.

While experience with laser cutting & marking, micro fluid deposition, vision systems, and working in regulated industries (e.g., pharma, medical devices) would be beneficial, we provide in-house training for our bespoke equipment.

What We Offer

Estimated Salary: £45,000 - £60,000 per annum, depending on experience and qualifications.
