At SuperCare Residential, we are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Night Shift Caregiver to join our team. As a Night Shift Caregiver, you will play a vital role in supporting the needs of our young residents, ensuring their safety and well-being throughout the night.

Daily Responsibilities
  • Support and meet the needs of young people in our care, providing direct allocated support on a waking night shift.
  • Help young people take responsibility for themselves and act responsibly towards others, in accordance with the Children Act 1989.
  • Maintain health and safety standards in the home, ensuring the upkeep of the home is always a priority.
  • Complete administrative tasks and keep accurate records of information that impacts the daily running of the home.
  • Empower young people to take control of their lives, keeping them informed of their circumstances and rights, involving them in planning their lives, and supporting them towards greater independence.
Household Responsibilities
  • Ensure the young people are looked after safely and securely throughout the night.
  • Maintain the home to a high standard, caring for equipment and the overall environment.
  • Be accountable for allocated funds and ensure they are spent in accordance with policies and procedures.
  • Complete health and safety checks in line with policies and Ofsted regulations and standards.

  • A willingness to develop skills, knowledge, and experience in accordance with a personal development plan.
  • Kindness, care, and compassion to accommodate the needs of all young people.
  • Experience working with children who display challenging behavior, such as severe autism and ADHD.
  • Resilience and the ability to manage challenges in a caring way.
  • A Level 3 NVQ in Children's Residential Care or equivalent qualification.
  • An Enhanced DBS Check or willingness to undergo one.
