Job Title: Head of Adult Disability Service

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional to lead our Adult Learning Disability Service across the county.

About the Role

As Head of Service, you will be responsible for the safe and effective operational management of Adult Learning Disability Services, ensuring the delivery of high-quality provision is sustained through the period of wider system service change presented by the Clinical Service Review (CSR).

The CSR review will necessitate a move to place level provision, and you will play a key role in ensuring that the perspective of this service is reflected moving forward while supporting your teams through this transformational period.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the Adult Learning Disability Service, ensuring the delivery of high-quality provision and the safe and effective operational management of services.
  • Develop and implement strategies to improve the health and wellbeing of people with learning disabilities, reducing health inequalities and promoting equity, diversity, and inclusion.
  • Work closely with the multi-disciplinary team to provide specialist health advice to people with learning disabilities, their carers, families, and the wider health and social care community.
  • Ensure that the service is aligned with national policies and guidelines, and that the team is equipped to deliver high-quality services that meet the needs of service users.
Requirements
  • Minimum of 3 years management experience in the NHS, including experience of managing a unit or function, planning, monitoring, and delivering services.
  • Demonstrable evidence of management qualification or equivalent demonstration of extensive knowledge of the clinical, commissioning, and financial environment.
  • Strong leadership and management skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a team to deliver high-quality services.
What We Offer

We offer a competitive salary of £62,215 to £72,293 per annum pro rata, as well as a range of benefits and opportunities for professional development.

We are committed to equity, diversity, and inclusion, and we welcome applications from candidates from diverse backgrounds.

Please note that this post is subject to the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act (Exceptions Order) 1975, and a Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check will be required.
