SEN Teaching Assistant

**Job Description:**
Tradewind Recruitment is looking for an experienced and passionate Special Educational Needs Teaching Assistant / UQT to start at a special school in Moseley, South Birmingham.
This role involves working 3-4 days per week, covering a contract for a 6 month period. The school offers a supportive environment where you can make a real difference in the lives of their pupils.
**Responsibilities:**- Supporting pupils with diverse needs, including those with cognition and learning difficulties, speech and language disorders, and associated physical, sensory, and medical needs
- Working collaboratively with teachers, therapists, and other professionals to develop individualized plans and implement interventions
- Providing emotional support and promoting independence, communication, and social skills among pupils
- Maintaining accurate records and contributing to the overall well-being of the school community
- HLTA Status or equivalent experience in a SEN setting
- At least 6 months of experience teaching within a special school
- TEAM TEACH Certificate (Preferred)
- An enhanced DBS on the update service or prepared to apply for a new one
- A competitive salary of around £30,000 - £40,000 per annum, depending on experience
