Description:

Marsh McLennan is seeking a candidate for the position of Head of International Financial Planning and Analysis in the London office:

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement financial planning and analysis strategies to support business growth and decision-making.
  • Provide financial consulting and strategic support to senior management, including the provision of accurate, timely, and insightful analyses of key projects in the business unit.
  • Partner with Corporate and Global Finance teams to ensure International performance is well understood.
  • Ensure the business receives robust KPIs to run the business, including coordinating the collection of all performance indicators, highlighting trends, and analyzing causes of variances to budget, forecast, and prior year.
  • Present and explain Marsh & McLennan International's financial results at management meetings, including an in-depth analysis of the revenue walk versus prior year.
  • Support key matrix business initiatives and develop financial models and analyses to support strategic initiatives.
  • Champion finance transformation and prepare board presentations, financial presentations, capital expenditure analysis, client profitability analysis, and other projects requested by senior management.
  • Supervise Financial Analysts.

Requirements:

  • Full accounting qualifications (ACCA/CIMA or equivalent), with significant post-qualification experience.
  • Substantial experience of working in financial services, preferably insurance broking firm.
  • Experience of presenting financial results and forecasts on a regular basis to senior executives, running a business budgeting process.
  • Financial analysis skills to a high level.
  • Finance change and transformation process management expertise and experience.
  • Excellent stakeholder relationship building skills.
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint skills.
  • Experience with Hyperion Planning, Essbase, and Oracle Financials strongly preferred.
