**Job Title:** Appraisal Specialist

**Location:** Fife, Scotland

We are seeking an experienced Appraisal Specialist to join our team at Fife Council. As a key member of our property valuation team, you will be responsible for the efficient work allocation, co-ordination and training of Technical staff undertaking property surveys and valuations throughout Fife.

This is a challenging and rewarding role that requires strong analytical skills, attention to detail and excellent communication abilities. You will be working closely with various stakeholders, including council officials, landowners and developers to ensure that property valuations are accurate and up-to-date.

Key Responsibilities:

  • To appraise properties in Fife for the purposes of compiling and maintaining the Valuation Roll and Council Tax Valuation List.
  • To take a lead role in the survey and valuation of properties of a more specialist nature.
  • To work collaboratively with colleagues to achieve team objectives and provide high-quality services to customers.
  • To maintain accurate records and data related to property valuations and provide reports as required.

Requirements:

  • A strong understanding of the legislation and case law governing Council tax and Non-Domestic Rating.
  • The ability to travel to various locations throughout Fife.
  • An enthusiasm for learning and professional development.
