About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Business Rates Officer to join our Shared Services Partnership team. As a Business Rates Officer, you will play a crucial role in delivering the business rates service from billing through to recovery. Your key responsibilities will include determining NNDR liability, awarding exemptions and reliefs, maintaining the commercial rating list, and assisting with database management.

You will also be required to attend court hearings, deal with complex areas of NNDR, and provide detailed statements and calculations. We are looking for an experienced business rates practitioner with good organisational and IT skills, as well as the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
