Job Title: Human Resources Advisor

Job Summary:

The Human Resources Advisor will serve as the first point of contact for all people-related issues, ensuring compliance with internal processes and legal requirements. This role will work closely with the Director of Human Resources to provide generalist HR advice and support.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Provide HR Advice and Support: Offer guidance on terms and conditions of employment, HR policies, and procedures to employees and management.
  • Maintain HR Systems: Ensure accurate and up-to-date records of recruitment, employment contracts, onboarding, leavers, and appraisals.
  • Coordinate Meetings and Hearings: Arrange and attend informal and formal meetings, ensuring all necessary paperwork is accurate and completed.
  • Support Investigations: Provide HR and administrative support in investigations into conduct, capability, and grievance matters.
  • Liaise with Management and Third Parties: Act as a liaison between management and external parties to provide advice and guidance on job design, recruitment, induction, best practices, and company procedures.
  • Support Payroll and Benefits: Assist with payroll and benefits activities, ensuring compliance with all applicable UK employment regulations.
  • Maintain Compliance: Ensure The Workshop remains compliant with all relevant UK employment regulations.
  • Support Mental Health Initiatives: Act as one of the Mental Health First Aiders and provide support to other MHFA as needed.
Requirements:
  • Experience: Minimum 3-5 years of experience in Human Resources, ideally in an advisory role.
  • Qualifications: Full or part CIPD qualification.
  • Skills: Strong interpersonal skills, excellent communication skills, ability to work in a team, and prioritize tasks efficiently.
  • Other Requirements: Ability to remain calm under pressure, flexible, and work to tight deadlines.
