Maintenance Engineer

We are seeking an experienced Maintenance Engineer to join our client on a temp to perm basis. The company is a well-respected provider of specialist equipment to train manufacturers and operating companies in the UK and overseas.
Key Responsibilities:- Electrical and mechanical maintenance of equipment at the facility, with a focus on electrical engineering and PLC programming.
- Planned Maintenance: Collaborate with the Maintenance and Test Team Leader to develop and implement a planned preventative maintenance (PPM) schedule for key equipment.
- Work closely with the production team to drive continuous improvement activities across site processes.
- Develop and lead a Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) strategy, including automation of Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE) and machine conditions monitoring.
- Maintenance and repair of site infrastructure, including machines, equipment, tooling, buildings, and infrastructure.
- Develop and improve standard operating procedures (SOPs) for the site.
- Ensure continuity of activities with production operators and maintenance engineers across shifts.
- Optimize machine utilization and adherence to the Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) schedule using an online system.
Requirements:
Applicants must have previous experience in a similar role, with a proven track record of working in factory/industrial maintenance. Lean manufacturing experience and knowledge of industrial engineering principles are advantageous. Previous experience with drives, controls, HMI's, and hydraulic equipment maintenance is essential.
