Job Title: Apprentice Maintenance Engineer

We are seeking an experienced Maintenance Engineer to join our client on a temp to perm basis. The company is a well-respected provider of specialist equipment to train manufacturers and operating companies in the UK and overseas.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Electrical and mechanical maintenance of equipment at the facility, with a focus on electrical engineering and PLC programming.
  2. Planned Maintenance: Collaborate with the Maintenance and Test Team Leader to develop and implement a planned preventative maintenance (PPM) schedule for key equipment.
  3. Work closely with the production team to drive continuous improvement in site processes.
  4. Develop and lead a Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) strategy, including automation of Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE) and machine condition monitoring.
  5. Maintenance and repair of site infrastructure, including machines, equipment, tooling, buildings, and infrastructure.
  6. Develop and improve standard operating procedures (SOPs) for the site.
  7. Ensure continuity of activities with production operators and other maintenance engineers across shifts.
  8. Machine utilization and adherence to the Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) schedule using an online system.

Requirements:
Applicants must have previous experience in a similar role and a proven track record of working in factory/industrial maintenance. Lean manufacturing experience is an advantage, especially with industrial engineering principles. Previous experience in drives, controls, HMI's, and hydraulic equipment maintenance is essential.
