Job Title: Junior Financial Controller

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Junior Financial Controller to join our team at Swissquote Ltd. as a Financial Operations Specialist. The successful candidate will assist the Finance Manager in the execution of daily tasks, monitoring and reporting activities, and helping to improve financial processes and controls.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Financial Operations: Support the Finance Manager to ensure the smooth running of financial activities, including processing invoices and payments, preparing and posting recurring journals in the General Ledger and T24, and reconciling the general ledger (i.e. bank accounts) and maintaining appropriate records.
  • Financial Analysis: Produce the monthly management accounts, prepare business and financial analysis, and perform Actual vs Budget analysis.
  • Compliance and Reporting: Prepare Quarterly VAT calculations and submission of returns, prepare daily liquidity monitoring, and assist in the provision of reporting to the Management and the Board of Directors.
  • Process Improvement: Implement process improvements and assist in the preparation of annual statutory accounts, and provide assistance with external auditors as required.
  • Liaison and Communication: Liaise with Group Finance Department and provide excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Requirements:

  • Education: Degree in Business, Finance or Accounting preferred.
  • Experience: 1-3 years of professional experience gained within the financial industry.
  • Knowledge and Skills: Knowledge of UK GAAP, IFRS and UK regulations, and fluent in English with excellent written and verbal communication skills.
