About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Project Worker to join our Support Delivery Team in Derby and Derbyshire. As a Project Worker, you will play a vital role in delivering trauma-informed support to individuals affected by modern slavery, human trafficking, and exploitation.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support individuals in connecting with community resources, building resilience, and improving wellbeing.
  • Manage a caseload of individuals and their families, ensuring tailored support is provided.
  • Direct work with individuals, including home visits, 1-1 activities, and support to attend other agencies.
  • Establish and maintain effective relationships with other agencies to ensure a multi-agency approach to support planning.
  • Promote group activities to individuals and encourage attendance to enable social connection and belonging.
  • Support the planning and facilitation of group activity sessions and events.
  • Work in a needs-led, strength-based approach to partner with individuals to develop support plans.
  • Network and build partnerships with local organisations and professionals to enhance the work of Rebuild East Midlands.
Requirements
  • At least 1 year's experience in a support setting, preferably working with individuals affected by abuse, trafficking, homelessness, mental health, complex needs, offenders, and/or refugees.
  • Awareness of Trauma Informed Practice and ability to advocate for the needs of those we work with.
  • Proven knowledge of working with community organisations and signposting to different services.
  • Ability to develop and maintain good professional relationships and react effectively to highly pressured situations.
  • Strong communication skills with proven writing ability and good people skills, especially with those whom English is not the first language.
  • Proven knowledge of safeguarding policies and procedures relating to adults and children and young people.
  • Valid employment rights to work in the UK.
