Main duties of the job

We are looking for registered professional to work in our CAMHS Intensive Home Treatment Team and we really want to hear from you. It is an exciting time for the service as we grow and expand our offer to the young people and families of North Derbyshire. We want you to help transform our service and expand our Intensive Home Treatment Team. Working alongside an already well established team we have a well-developed clinical supervision programme.

As an autonomous practitioner you will be responsible for managing your own work load within the requirements of the post.

Our workforce comes from various professional backgrounds and there are opportunities for building up professional networks within the service. We value the diversity of our clinicians and the different skill sets that they bring with them.

We provide a full rangeofdistrict general services including urgent and emergency care, specialist children's services, maternity and community midwifery. Our main hospital is on a greenfield site with abundant countryside, lovely views, beautiful landscaping and outdoor gym- it's easy to access green space at break times which offers an opportunity to de-stress.

Our new building, which is close by, is located in a historic market town and on the doorstep of Sheffield, a vibrant, multi-cultural/cosmopolitan city.

Both sites are easily accessible from the M1 and the A61 and the local train station is nearby.

Qualification/registration

Experience

oExperience of service development oTwo years post qualifying experience in a relevant field. oWorking knowledge of health, social care, education ,criminal justice and the independent sector

oUp to date working knowledge of legislation relevant to CAMHS and mental health oCompetent in assessing mental health risk and difficulties, interpreting sensitive information and formulating care plans in a collaborative way. oAbility to engage with 'hard to reach clients' in clinical and non-clinical environments. oAbility to use appropriate IT packages and e mail competently

oExtensive knowledge base in child & adolescent development and mental health oExperience in the preparation & provision of training oExperience in provision of clinical supervision. oParticipation in research projects oExperience of the Criminal Justice System oKnowledge of pharmacology and its application to CAMHS
