Job Title: Teaching Assistant

We are seeking an experienced Teaching Assistant to support students aged 6-11 years old with Autism and associated behavioural and communication difficulties in a specialist school in Smallfield, Surrey.

Key Responsibilities:
  • To establish a warm, caring, and supportive relationship with pupils, enabling them to feel safe and enjoy learning.
  • To promote independence and personal development, supporting the Class Teacher in all areas of the day-to-day running of the class.
  • To respond to the varying needs of the school, adapting to tasks presented to achieve smooth operation.
  • To promote cognitive, social, emotional, behavioural, physical development, and spiritual well-being.
Requirements:
  • GCSE Maths and English qualification minimum Level 3 / Grade C or equivalent is essential.
  • Level 2 or 3 Teaching Assistant Qualification (desirable but not essential).
  • Experience of working in a special school environment is highly desirable.
  • Team TEACH Training- desirable.
Salary and Benefits:

£21,995.67 - £23,514.45 per annum, dependant on experience and qualifications, plus a £1000 welcome bonus.
