About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Raman spectroscopy specialist to join our UK applications team at Renishaw. As a key member of our team, you will have the opportunity to grow your knowledge of Raman spectroscopy and its applications, working with industry-leading experts.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the sales team by demonstrating the capabilities and performance of Renishaw's Raman instrumentation on customer samples.
  • Discover and develop new applications of Raman spectroscopy, presenting results at international conferences.
  • Train customers on the use of Raman spectroscopy and its applications.
  • Provide scientific content for marketing literature, including videos, webinars, and written literature.
  • Collaborate with our design teams to develop innovative Raman instrumentation.

Requirements

  • Degree or PhD in a science-related discipline.
  • Practical experience conducting Raman spectroscopy and data analysis.
  • An interest in promoting Raman spectroscopy to a global audience.
  • High level of computer literacy, including Microsoft Office software suite.
  • Ability to travel internationally up to 4 weeks a year.

Desirable Requirements

  • Experience in scientific instrument sales process.
  • Knowledge of scanning electron microscopy (SEM) and/or atomic force microscopy (AFM).

Person Specification

The ideal candidate will be self-motivated, organized, and have an attention to detail in their work. They must be able to multi-task, prioritize, and deliver to deadlines. The individual will be personable and a good communicator, both verbally and in writing, and be able to work with others from different countries and cultures.
