Heavy Process Industries Maintenance Engineer

We are currently seeking a skilled Mechanical Technician to join our team at a biomass power station in Eye, Suffolk.
Role Summary
The successful candidate will be responsible for planning and executing mechanical maintenance work to ensure minimal downtime. This will involve fault finding, repair work, and planned & reactive maintenance on a wide range of mechanical plant equipment.
Key Responsibilities
• Perform routine maintenance tasks to prevent equipment failure.
• Assist with outage planning and coordination to minimize disruptions.
• Maintain accurate maintenance records using our CMMS system.
• Provide technical support to our operations team as needed.
• Collaborate with other Technicians and Engineers on plant projects and upgrades.
Requirements
A relevant engineering qualification (NVQ/ONC/ level 3) ideally in mechanical engineering or similar is required. At least 2 years' experience working in a hands-on maintenance or servicing role across a heavy process industry is also necessary. Additionally, experience carrying out maintenance and repair work on pumps, valves, gearboxes and other rotating machinery is essential.
Salary Range
This role offers a predicted salary of £30,000 - £39,000 + benefits based on location and experience.
