Supermarket Shift Leader Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Supermarket Shift Leader to join our team at Haven Holidays. As a key member of our Retail Team, you will be responsible for providing an exceptional retail experience for our customers, ensuring service, quality, and consistency in all aspects of our supermarket operations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and coach the team on shift to ensure all areas of responsibility are met
  • Escalate issues to the Supermarket Team Manager when required
  • Induct and support new starters through 90-day induction and completion of core departmental training
  • Deliver a hands-on approach to supermarket duties and greet our customers
  • Work with the team to maintain a clean and safe supermarket area
  • Promote Health and Safety first

Pay Rates:

16 to 17 from £7.50, 18 to 20 from £9.97, 21+ from £11.44 per hour, with an additional £1 per hour when leading a shift

Experience and Qualifications:

  • Experience working in retail or a similar customer-facing environment
  • Previous experience leading, coaching, and supervising teams
