Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled Consultant Cardiologist to join our dynamic team. As a key member of our Adult Congenital Heart Disease (ACHD) service, you will be responsible for preventing, diagnosing, and treating ACHD across South Wales.

Main Responsibilities

As a Consultant Cardiologist, your primary responsibilities will include:

  • Collaborating with Consultant colleagues to provide comprehensive care to patients with ACHD
  • Developing and implementing treatment plans to improve patient outcomes
  • Working closely with multidisciplinary teams to facilitate diagnostic and treatment planning
  • Providing education and training to medical students and resident doctors
  • Participating in clinical audit and research initiatives to enhance medical practice
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • On GMC Specialist Register for specialty / Specialty Registrar with CCT / CESR(CP) due within six months of interview date
  • Broad training and experience in the practice of clinical cardiology
  • Training in ACHD or equivalent clinical experience
