About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Radiography Department Manager to join our team at East and North Hertfordshire NHS Trust. As a clinical expert in radiotherapy, you will be responsible for leading our radiotherapy department and ensuring the delivery of high-quality patient care.

Main Responsibilities
  • Act as a clinical expert covering all treatment and pre-treatment units of the Centre as required.
  • Be a member of the departmental management team, maintaining responsibilities for department management, education, R& D, technical practice development, and quality.
  • Act as an expert in the field of clinical radiotherapy.
  • Lead a radiotherapy unit as and when required.
  • Be available to take a lead in the selection, design and commissioning of new equipment.

Person Specification

We are looking for a candidate with the following qualifications and experience:

  • DCR(T) / BSc. in Therapeutic Radiography
  • Evidence of further study i.e. MDCR or equivalent
  • Evidence of experience in a supervisory capacity
  • Variety of experiences in all aspects of treatment and planning areas
